DevilDriver are an American Groove Metal band formed in 2002 in Santa Barbara, California by vocalist Dez Fafara. Known for their aggressive blend of groove metal, melodic death metal influences, and modern heavy metal intensity, the band built a reputation on tightly controlled riffing, high energy performances, and a consistently heavy sound.
Their music balances rhythmic, down-tuned guitar work with fast-paced drumming and harsh vocals, creating a sound that is both punishing and tightly structured.
