Cult of Luna have seen their music style evolve from doom metal to a heavy and powerful post-metal sound. This change in style was heard on the 'Salvation' and 'Somewhere Along the Highway' albums which were both received well. Don't be fooled into thinking that this change in direction has resulted in pop albums, the music remains slow and heavy - mixing droning and wailing guitars with moments of orchestral intricacy.
