Mordred is an American thrash band from San Francisco. They released three studio albums and one EP from 1989 to 1994. In this five-year span, they showed an interesting inventiveness in the wake of fusion genre. 'Fool's Game' (1989) was powered the Bay Area thrash spirit, while 'In This Life' (1991) was compared to crossover artists like Faith No More.
After their first breakup in 1995, Mordred announced a reunion in 2001. In the following year, they played live in their hometown of San Francisco and went on to perform again. Despite this, no new material from the band had been released since 1994.....until now.
'The Dark Parade' is the first full-length album in over twenty-five years from the band, one of the first heavy metal bands to integrate funk and hip-hop influences into its sound. It features five-sixths of the classic line-up from acclaimed 1991 record 'In This Life'.
