'Toys in the Attic' is the third studio album by American rock band Aerosmith and was originally released on April 8, 1975. The first single, "Sweet Emotion", was released on May 19 and the original version of "Walk This Way" followed on August 28 of the same year.
"Aerosmith was a different band when we started the third album," producer Jack Douglas recalled in the 1997 book "Walk This Way: The Aerosmith Autobiography." "They had played 'Get Your Wings' on the road for a year and had become better players - different. That showed in the riffs Joe and Brad brought back from tour for the next album. Toys in the Attic was much more polished than the other stuff they had done."
The album was recorded at the Record Plant in New York, released on April 8, 1975, and reached number 11 in September thanks to the singles "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way."
The album is the band's most commercially successful studio LP in the U.S., with eight million copies sold.
