Amyl and the Sniffers' debut album is the sound of 21st century Australia, but recorded in Sheffield with producer Ross Orton. It's primal and explosive, with a penchant for glam, the Sharpie movement of the 70s and the rock'n'roll of the good old days, underpinned by lyrics that are at once somber and nihilistic, but also humorous and celebratory. The album is full of powerful riffs and pounding drums, it rages and rolls and lives up to all the hype. It has attitude, sass, and Amy's howl from the throat.
