Their roots in doomy Scandinavian death metal are certainly undeniable, but the emotional and melodic touches found on their tenth studio album " Heritage " herald a new chapter in their career. Frontman, singer, guitarist, songwriter and long-term member Mikael Åkerfeldt has managed to take a big step forward artistically with his band, but without sacrificing the spirit of the previous albums for it
