The British heavy metal band Angel Witch formed in London, 1976 as part of the new wave of British heavy
metal movement (also known as the NWOBHM). Angel Witch is a pioneering British heavy metal band formed
in London in 1976. As a key part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), they are recognized as a
major influence on early 1980s metal, including bands like Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth. Their self-titled
1980 debut album is considered a seminal, influential work. The cover features an image of the well-known
painting; The Fallen Angels Entering Pandemonium by John Martin. The band lineup back then consisted of
Kevin Heybourne, Kevin Riddles and Dave Hogg. The album contains their most successful track to date “Angel
Witch”.
Angel Witch is available as a limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies on silver coloured vinyl.
