After a quick rise through the metal ranks, At The Gates broke up in 1996, only to reform in 2007 to cement their legacy further as one of the greats of Scandinavian death metal, with extensive live work & multiple studio albums, before the untimely passing of vocalist Tomas Lindberg.
At The Gates developed a unique & pioneering sound in the early 90s of intense yet complex, dynamic & melodic death metal, cementing their reputation as one of the forerunners of the European scene - mixing a ferocious blend of distinct melody & brutal riffs into a sound that was extreme, yet remained memorably listenable.
'Terminal Spirit Disease', the band's third album, was originally released in 1994 & brought in a more streamlined & catchy style to the songwriting over previous efforts, which was further developed & refined on their follow-up studio album, 'Slaughter Of The Soul'.
This edition of 'Terminal Spirit Disease' is presented on jewel case CD format including booklet matching the original 1994 release, & includes newly (bandapproved) remastered audio courtesy of the also legendary Dan Swano at Unisound
