We've just about recovered from Download Festival (Dustload?)!! What an incredible weekend – and a massive thank-you to everyone who dropped by the Eyesore Merch marquee. We loved meeting you all, spotting those killer battle jackets, and reconnecting with familiar faces alongside new friends. Your support and enthusiasm levels were off the charts. We literally couldn't do it without each and every one of you. Same time next year?
This year’s Download was one for the books—not just for the killer weather and energy in the crowd, but for the lineup. 2025 marked a milestone with three first-time headliners: Green Day, Sleep Token, and Korn, each delivering a defining moment in Donington history.
Green Day finally made their Donington debut, and it was worth the wait. Opening with “American Idiot,” Billie Joe Armstrong brought his trademark fire and political edge to the main stage, ripping through a 17-song set that spanned their legendary career. There were no punches pulled—taking shots at Trump and other political issues, it was classic Green Day, with a message and a moshpit.
Saturday took a dramatic turn with Sleep Token closing out the night. The masked, anonymous collective have built a cult following, and their set felt more like a sacred ritual than a standard headline performance. With cryptic QR codes, surreal stage visuals, and genre-blurring tracks from their chart-topping album Even in Arcadia, they turned Download into a chapel of sound. Divisive? Sure. But unforgettable.
Then came Korn. At last. Two decades after first stepping on the Donington stage, the nu-metal pioneers finally headlined. They kicked off with “Blind” and tore through a blistering set that proved they’ve still got it. The crowd was in full voice for “Freak on a Leash” and “Got the Life,” making Jonathan Davis visibly moved, declaring it a full-circle moment for the band. It was raw, emotional, and totally unmissable.
