'Obsidian' is the fifth studio album by American hard rock band Crobot. It was released on 13th September 2024.
It was produced by Crobot and recorded at The Machine Shop Studios in Austin, Texas. The 11-song LP was engineered, mixed and mastered by Alberto De Icaza and sees the band dive into the deep, murky waters of the human condition, threading ancient myths with personal demons.
'Obsidian' strikes a compelling balance between intensity and accessibility, delivering its commanding message across 11 tight, punchy tracks, with several of them sporting a grunge-infused vibe in the best vein of Alice In Chains or Soundgarden's most metallic offerings, without losing their own identity.
