Released back in 1988, Godflesh's self-titled EP is still one of the most powerful and dark recordings the duo ever caught on tape.
The slow, pummeling grind of 'Avalanche Master Song' is as iconic as the record's immediately recognisable monochrome cover, laying down the blueprint for their seminal 'Streetcleaner' album, whilst tracks like the driving 'Veins' prove that guitarist/vocalist Justin Broadrick's unique melodic sensibility was in full effect right from day one.
