Originally, the Duplantier brothers, guitarist/vocalist Joe and drummer Mario, their French compatriot, bassist Jean Michel Labadie and guitarist Christian Andreu named their band Godzilla, after the green-scaled movie star whose reputation is as great as the sound of the newly formed formation was to become.
They quickly released a few demos, changed the band name to Gojira and released their first album 'Terra Incognita' on their own in 2001.
Now their long out-of-print first album is released again after a long time and completely remastered. For the first time it is also available on vinyl.
