Dance of Death is the thirteenth studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released in 2003.

Their second studio release since the return of vocalist Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith in 1999, the album features the band's first-ever fully acoustic track, "Journeyman", as well as "New Frontier", their only song co-written by drummer Nicko McBrain.

"This record is underrated, it's as good as The Number of the Beast or Piece of Mind...  It continues to be underestimated and remembered as if it were released yesterday, especially with that outdated term "Modern Maiden". Certainly, Maiden don't invent the wheel but do reinvent themselves. For those who enjoy the occasional speed metal riffage with folk elements and a nod to retro rock a la UFO and Jethro Tull, from start to finish you can notice the particular purpose of these interludes, intros and outros to which not many would be accustomed. As long as you're willing to look deeper you can find a record with no weak points at all. 96%" - Metal Archives
