The new album 'The Ferryman's End' by Dutch killing machine Izegrim is the logical follow-up to the very successful 2013 album 'Congress Of The Insane', which received a lot of positive feedback from major magazines worldwide.
For example, Aardschok called Izegrim a "first-class European band!" and Rock Tribune stated: "... songs that Slayer would have loved to write!" The album was recorded at the prestigious Soundlodge Studio in Germany, where God Dethroned, Dew-Scented, Suicidal Angels etc. have also recorded their releases.
Compared to their previous works, 'The Ferryman's End' is a big step forward for the band, both in terms of production and songwriting. The artwork for the album comes from Eliran Kantor (Testament, Satan, Hatebreed, Soulfly etc.), who has delivered one of his greatest works here.
It is said about many bands that they are not able to top their early albums, but with 'The Ferryman's End' Izegrim disprove this thesis in the most brutal way by taking the catchy components that make the band sound so uniquely murderous on record as well as live and expanding them into the most extreme, hard barbarism!
