You can't learn the blues. There are no Instructions in music books or learning Videos on YouTube. Blues is much more profound, because it comes from within. It's about how the strings of a guitar are played and the sound is transmitted directly from the guitarist's is transmitted. It's actually quite simple. You either have it or you don't.
Jared James Nichols definitely has it. The new long-player 'Old Glory & The Wild Revival' by the Wisconsin-born singer who lives in Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and guitarist and guitarist channels the blues in its original Blues in its original form and with gusto in bombastic, arena-ready rock'n'roll. Rough, loud and honest.
Jared James Nichols lives up to the word "revival" in the album title. "I want to i want to inspire people," he says, "I want them to i want them to experience the whole range of emotions with this music. I want everyone to know that there is there is great blues rock. If I can give someone the same inspiration that I've been blessed with I've been blessed with, then I've done something right I've done something right."
