KoЯn's tenth studio album "The Path of Totality" will be released in December.
However, you can't expect a typical KoЯn disc. Actually, nothing awaits you that you already know in this form.
"The Path of Totality" is a very experimental album, where KoЯn shift gears and enter new territory. For diehard KoЯn fans, however, this shouldn't be too much of a surprise, as the band has been constantly evolving themselves (and the whole rock scene) since their first big successes in the 90s.
For "The Path of Totality" KoЯn collaborated with some of the leading dubstep and electro producers such as Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, Noisia, Kill the Noise and 12th Planet. The result is something completely new, but it still clearly deserves the KOЯN stamp. Even after a career spanning two decades, they still manage to reinvent themselves.
"The title The Path of Totality refers to the fact that in order to see the sun in a full solar eclipse, you must be in the exact right place in the exact right time," explains frontman Jonathan Davis. "That's how this album came together. I think all the producers feel the same way. I'm not sure it could ever happen again."
The current, highly praised single "Get Up!" is a collaboration with one of the hottest dubstep producers, Skrillex, and was an absolute surprise hit in the summer. The hype started at this year's Coachella Festival, where Jonathan and Munky joined Skrillex on stage in the dance tent and performed the song there - unannounced.
Since then, the download has sold over 150,000 copies and the lyric video has been viewed nearly two million times - and counting. Even 24 weeks after the song's release, the all-around interest in it is far from over.

We couldn't wait to get to the studio every day to finish the next song."
"Narcissistic Cannibal," "Burn The Obedient." "Illuminati," "Kill Mercy Within," and "Chaos Lives In Everything" are just a few of the songs that will be on the tracklist.
