‘(A) Senile Animal’ (2006) introduced a dual drummer lineup, injecting new rhythmic power into the Melvins’ sludgy yet
exploratory sound. With drummers Coady Willis and Dale Crover propelling tight, pounding grooves beneath Buzz Osborne’s distinctive riffs and vocals, the album balances hypnotic heaviness with punk sharp immediacy.
It was widely acclaimed as a revitalization of the band’s long running experimental heavy rock legacy
