Their final Earache album, 'Words From The Exit Wound' signifies an end of an era for Napalm Death. Musically, the album continues in the same groovier, downtuned vein as 'Diatribes' and 'Inside The Torn Apart', but also finds some of their earlier grinding intensity bubbling up to the surface again.
They'd dive straight back into that sound on subsequent albums, but 'Words From The Exit Wound' remains a fascinating listen for Napalm devotees, showcasing a vital stage in this unique band's evolution.
