'Spawned by Evil' is an EP by Swedish blackened death metal band Necrophobic, originally released in 1996.
With over thirty years of active, nefarious service under their spikes and bulletbelts, Necrophobic are undisputed legends of the blackened death metal scene. Formed in 1989 by drummer Joakim Sterner, the Stockholm blackhearts propagated a singular and fearless vision from the very start. Necrophobic established a bold and vivid identity of their own, conjuring a densely melodic, but endlessly wicked take on macabre extreme metal that countless lesser bands have since emulated.
'Spawned by Evil' originally came out as an EP with four tracks, consisting of the title track 'Spawned by Evil' and covers of 'Die by the Sword' (Slayer), 'Nightmare' (Venom) and 'Enter The Eternal Fire' (Bathory). This reissue features 10 tracks in total, including a further three covers and three demo tracks.
