Pennywise was founded in 1988 in the South Bay of Los Angeles—a neighborhood with a rich punk rock history. Through their relentless touring and their melodic, high-energy sound—which blends classic punk, surf punk, and hard-hitting hardcore—the band has built an international following. Over the years, Pennywise has cemented its place in punk history with iconic songs like “Fuck Authority,” “Alien,” and “Bro Hymn” (their timeless ode to brotherhood and friends who have passed away).
'Full Circle' is the emotional and groundbreaking album that followed the tragic death of founding member and bassist Jason Mathew Thirsk. Dedicated to Thirsk's memory, 'Full Circle' is hard-hitting, thought-provoking and ultimately redemptive. Despite its somber mission, the record is upbeat and uplifting. With the help of longtime friend Randy Bradbury on bass, Pennywise was able to look inward and work through the issues that would have torn a smaller band apart. 'Full Circle' also includes a moving re-recording of "Bro Hymn" and a special hidden piano instrumental from Unknown Road.
