RIKET stand at the intersection of ferocity and history, combining the raw aggression of death metal with the relentless drive of thrash and the defiant edge of punk. What truly sets RIKET apart is their lyrical concept: all songs are performed in Swedish and draw inspiration from the darker corners of history — intimate tales of catastrophe, failure, and human downfall.
After years of honing their sound, RIKET now unleash their debut full-length album, '2026'. The album consists of nine punishing tracks, each functioning as a historical snapshot of calamity and misfortune. Harsh, direct, and uncompromising, '2026' confronts the listener with uncomfortable truths from the past, delivered through a crushing wall of sound.
'2026' was recorded and produced by Sverker Widgren at Wing Studios, balancing sheer heaviness with a strong sense of narrative and atmosphere. Artwork by Axel Torvenius visually mirrors the album’s bleak historical themes.
