Sabaton's 2014 seventh full-length studio recording 'Heroes' was, once again, a concept record based on different historical, 20th century wars and battles, telling fascinating stories about heroic men and women on their dangerous missions on battlefields and other belligerent locations.
Music-wise, 'Heroes', struck the metal scene like a fighter aircraft from the clear sky. After serving some ultra-catchy, more traditional Sabaton epics ("No Bullets Fly", "Soldier Of 3 Armies"), the Falun-quintet invaded more unprecedented territory with songs such as the powerful "The Ballad Of Bull", Western-movie themed "To Hell And Back" and the guitar-driven "Resist And Bite".
'Heroes' also saw the band breach the UK Top 75 album charts while, in the live arena, the band continued to deliver attention-grabbing sets. Last year saw a riotous set on Download's second stage while last August witnessed a show-stealing performance at Bloodstock - pyro, fireworks, tank and all!
