'Rock The Nations' is the ninth studio album by British metal legends Saxon, originally released in 1988, and their last for EMI Records. It features a cover of the Christopher Cross classic 'Ride Like The Wind'.
Recorded with Stephan Galfas at Hook And Manor Studio in Berkshire, England, it is the only album to feature the rhythm section of Nigel Durham (drums) and Paul Johnson (bass) as well as long-time members Biff Byford (vocals), Graham Oliver (guitars) and Paul Quinn (guitars). As a fan of Christopher Cross' song writing, Biff had the idea of covering his song "Ride Like The Wind", reworking it in "Wheels Of Steel" style and using it as the lead single.
