Bands from the land of the maple leaf have never had it easy. Think of Anvil, the true inventors of speed metal, or Rush, who had to fight for three decades for their position as the kings of progressive metal. Canada is always a little overshadowed by its mighty neighbor to the south.

Slaughter from Toronto, Ontario, can also be categorized as an innovative band. founded in 1984, Dave Hewson (vocals, guitar), Terry Sadler (vocals, bass) and Ron Summer (drums) recorded the legendary debut 'Strappado' three years later.

Today, 'Strappado' is considered a classic of raw thrash metal (in the transitional area to death metal). In Germany in particular, the album gained a notorious reputation thanks to tracks such as "Parasites", "The Curse" and the almost punky "F.O.D. (Fuck of Death)".

Reissue 2025, black vinyl, ltd 300, original mix + bonus track, 425gsm heavy cardboard cover, lyric sheet printed on uncoated paper, poster, mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony.

Limited picture disc vinyl pressing.
