Steve Asheim is the legendary drummer and songwriter for Florida death metal legends Deicide.
Faust, hero of one of the most famous legends in Western folklore and literature, is the story of a German necromancer or astrologer who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for knowledge and power.
The tale was retold by Goethe and made into a groundbreaking film in 1926 by F.W Murnau, now considered a masterpiece of German silent film.
Now, a century later, Steve Asheim has produced a new musical score to accompany the film, now released on DVD and containing almost two hours of continuous music.
