The album 'Vagabonds Of The Western World', widely regarded as Thin Lizzy's breakthrough, turns 50 this year. The album contains the band's first UK top ten single 'Whiskey In The Jar' and 'The Rocker', which would later become one of the band's signature songs - so much so that it was the last song they played at their final show in 1983.
'Vagabonds Of The Western World' was Thin Lizzy's third studio album and was originally released on September 21, 1973. It was the first to feature artwork by Jim Fitzpatrick, creator of the famous red and black portrait of Che Guevara, who would later work with the band on such classics as 'Nightlife', 'Jailbreak', 'Johnny The Fox', 'Black Rose' and 'Chinatown'.
To celebrate the album's golden anniversary, the Blu ray formats feature for the first time Atmos mixes.
