'Demons & Wizards' from 1972 picked up exactly where the previous album 'Look At Yourself' had left off and cemented Uriah Heep's status as one of the best bands of the time.
Due to a number of personnel changes, the fourth album was the first to be recorded with the line-up that is is still considered the "classic lineup" today. With the new members Mark Clarke and Lee Kerslake, Uriah Heep managed to go one better managed to go one better. Thanks in particular to the singles "The Wizard" and "Easy Livin a great commercial success. Although the title and artwork suggest a clear turn towards romanticizing medieval Motifs, Uriah Heep's music on 'Demons & Wizards' is in many places harder and more concise than before more concise than before.
