With the release of 'Going For The One' in July 1977, Yes was in the midst of the height of the English punk rock movement with a new album, and a recording from Montreux, Switzerland, of all places. With a church organ and always mystical lyrics, it was unusual enough, but the return to shorter tracks helped the album into the charts and yet was often overlooked in later years. Yes would open live performances in the future with the pompous "Parallels." Jon Anderson, on the other hand, found "Awaken" to be particularly outstanding in later years.
