'Permanent Vacation' is the ninth studio album by American hard rock band Aerosmith, originally released on 21st August, 1987 by Geffen Records. This version was re-mastered & re-issued in 2001.
Produced by Bruce Fairbairn, Permanent Vacation is often considered their true comeback album. It spawned three major hits, 'Rag Doll', 'Dude (Looks Like A Lady)' and 'Angel', which helped Permanent Vacation become the band's biggest success in a decade. It sold over 5 million copies in the US and was the first Aerosmith album to go gold in the UK.
