The Crown are a legendary Swedish death/thrash metal band, formed in 1990. Initially a primitive garage act, the band gained early attention with compilation appearances in 1992 and the dark, brutal demos Forever Heaven Gone (1993) and Forget The Light (1994). Their first full-length album, The Burning (1995), released via Black Sun Records, showcased a blend of melodic sensibility with the ferocity of American thrash and the atmospheric depth of Scandinavian death metal, earning acclaim from both fans and the media.
Since their formation, The Crown have built a reputation for intense, high-energy performances and a signature sound that fuses melodic hooks with crushing riffs. The current lineup features Marko Tervonen on rhythm guitar, Johan Lindstrand on vocals, Marcus Sunesson on lead guitar, Mattias Rasmussen on bass, and Mikael Norén on drums. Over the years, they have released numerous albums that solidified their status as one of Scandinavia’s most respected extreme metal acts.
