Bleed from Within are a Scottish metal band formed in Glasgow in 2005. Blending Metalcore, Groove metal and melodic Death metal influences, the band have developed a sound built around crushing riffs, precise musicianship and a balance of aggression and melody that has helped establish them as one of the UK’s leading modern metal acts.
The band’s lineup consists of Scott Kennedy (vocals), Ali Richardson (drums), Davie Provan (bass), Craig Gowans (lead guitar) and Steven Jones (rhythm guitar). Over nearly two decades, Bleed from Within have steadily evolved from underground metalcore beginnings into an internationally recognised force within modern heavy music.
Early releases showcased a heavier Deathcore-influenced approach, but albums such as Uprising (2013) and Era (2018) saw the band refine their identity through groove-heavy riffing, melodic guitar leads and more expansive songwriting. Their later material continued pushing this balance further, combining technical precision with huge choruses and anthemic production.
Releases including Fracture (2020) and Shrine (2022) significantly expanded the band’s international profile, earning praise for their modern production, powerful performances and consistency as songwriters. Tracks such as The End of All We Know, Alive and Levitate helped solidify their reputation for combining heaviness with strong melodic dynamics rather than relying purely on brute force — though there is still plenty of that available.
