Into this lineage step Power Paladin, launched in Reykjavík in 2017 as Iceland’s first and only power metal band.
Rather than following the darker paths often associated with the region, Power Paladin embrace colour, melody, and grandeur — bringing classic power metal energy to a landscape better known for shadow and ice.
Drawing influence from fantasy literature and the golden era of 80s and 90s heavy metal, Power Paladin channel the spirit of bands like Helloween, Blind Guardian, Edguy, and Rhapsody. Their sound is driven by soaring vocals, layered guitars, and an unapologetically melodic approach that puts storytelling and momentum front and centre.
