Nuclear Assault are an American thrash metal band formed in New York City in 1984. Founded by former Anthrax bassist Dan Lilker, they are widely regarded as one of the most important East Coast thrash bands, known for their politically charged lyrics and fusion of hardcore punk with thrash metal.
Nuclear Assault quickly became a key figure in the crossover thrash movement, combining speed, aggression, and social commentary.
