Formed in 1991, CRIMINAL has long been a leading force in South American metal. Rising from the ashes of the influential Pentagram (Chile), they made their live debut supporting Kreator, becoming the first international extreme metal band to play in Chile. The current lineup features Anton Reisenegger on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Omar Carreño on lead guitar and backing vocals, Marky Edelmann on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Raimundo “Rai” Gonzalez on drums.
Signed to major label BMG soon after their debut, CRIMINAL’s first two albums sold over 10,000 copies each in Chile alone. Over the years, the band has dominated the live arena, touring extensively across South and North America. They have also supported major acts in Europe, including Six Feet Under, Lamb of God, and Brujeria, appearing at major festivals such as Wacken, Bloodstock, and Summer Breeze. Notably, CRIMINAL played in front of 55,000 fans as direct support to Metallica in their hometown of Santiago, cementing their international reputation.
