Sigh are a Japanese avant-garde black metal band formed in Tokyo in 1990 by vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Mirai Kawashima. Widely regarded as one of the most innovative and experimental bands in extreme metal, Sigh became known for blending black metal with psychedelic rock, progressive music, jazz, classical arrangements, electronic experimentation, and surreal avant-garde composition.
Over multiple decades, the band have continuously reinvented their sound while remaining one of the most respected and influential experimental acts in underground metal.
