The Troops of Doom are a Brazilian death/thrash metal band formed in 2020 by former Sepultura guitarist Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz. Based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, The Troops of Doom draw heavily from the raw, primitive sound of early 1980s extreme metal, particularly the formative era of Sepultura.
The band quickly gained attention for reviving the old-school South American thrash/death metal aesthetic, combining aggressive riffing, dark atmospheres, and a distinctly retro production style.
