Imperial Triumphant are an experimental, blackened jazz-metal band from New York City, known for pushing the boundaries of extreme music. Formed in 2005, Imperial Triumphant were founded by Zachary Ilya Ezrin (vocals, guitars) as a vision of New York’s grandeur, decay, and complexity filtered through the lens of extreme metal. The band’s sound channels the darkness of modern civilization with a theatrical, art-deco aesthetic and an emphasis on experimentation and technical brilliance.
Alongside Ezrin, Steve Blanco (bass, keyboards) and Kenny Grohowski (drums) complete the lineup, each bringing a level of virtuosity and jazz-infused sophistication rarely seen in metal.
