Of Mice & Men (often abbreviated OM&M) are an American metalcore band formed in Costa Mesa, California in 2009 by former Attack Attack! vocalist Austin Carlile and bassist Jaxin Hall. Blending crushing riffs, melodic hooks and emotionally charged songwriting, the band have become one of the defining names in modern metalcore, evolving their sound while maintaining a balance between heaviness and accessibility.
The current lineup consists of vocalist and bassist Aaron Pauley, guitarists Phil Manansala and Alan Ashby, and drummer Valentino Arteaga. Since taking over lead vocal duties in 2016, Aaron Pauley has helped steer the band into a new era, building on their established sound while exploring heavier and more atmospheric influences.
Their music combines metalcore, post-hardcore and alternative metal with powerful clean melodies, aggressive vocals and dynamic instrumentation. Across their career, Of Mice & Men have developed a reputation for writing emotionally resonant songs that pair technical musicianship with memorable choruses and modern production.
Following their formation, Of Mice & Men quickly established themselves within the rapidly growing metalcore scene, earning recognition through relentless touring and a series of acclaimed releases.
