Drawing influence from bands such as Metallica, Mastodon, Death, and Alice In Chains, their music moves fluidly between sludge, tech-metal, doom, and hardcore, all tied together by a powerful and weighty core.
Urne are a band that sound both classic and modern, combining intelligent songwriting with sheer intensity. Their debut full-length Serpent & Spirit, recorded and mixed by Chris Fielding and mastered by Jens Bogren, established them as one of the most exciting names in the British metal underground.
Sound & Line-Up
Urne’s sound blends crushing riffs, intricate structures, and melodic depth, creating a balance between aggression and atmosphere. Their music is both technically sharp and emotionally driven, delivering impact without sacrificing musicality.
The current line-up is Angus Neyra (guitars), Joe Nally (vocals, bass), James Cook (drums), and Kurtis Bagley (guitars). With a new fourth member added to the mix, the band has never sounded fuller than it does now, reinforcing their already expansive and powerful sound.
