Abduction are a UK Black metal/extreme metal band formed in 2016 as a shadowy single-man entity. From the outset, the project carved a reputation for speed, intensity, and uncompromising sound within an increasingly crowded underground extreme metal scene.
A solo project from A|V, who is the driving force behind Abduction, performing alone in the early years—a rare approach even within the one-man band tradition. To deliver ritualistic and immersive live shows, the band eventually expanded into a full live outfit, allowing them to perform at both underground events and larger festivals.
Signing to Lithuania’s Inferna Profundus almost immediately, Abduction released their debut full-length, To Further Dreams of Failure, in 2017. They quickly followed with Crown of Curses in 2018 and All Pain As Penance in 2019, releases which firmly established them within the UK and international black metal community.
In the years since, the band has remained prolific, putting out limited cassette-only releases and digital singles, before returning with their most recent full-length albums.
The band has transitioned from its original one-man format to a full live line-up. A|V remains the central member, with additional musicians joining to contribute on guitars, bass, and drums for live performances, creating the full, layered intensity of Abduction’s studio and stage work.
This page focuses primarily on Abduction releases on CD and vinyl, sourced from trusted distributors. These editions capture the band’s raw, aggressive black metal sound in its most direct form.
Stock rotates regularly, so if something catches your eye it’s worth picking it up while available. We’re also working to expand the range with official Abduction T-shirts and hoodies in the near future. Alongside the audio selection, a small number of apparel items may occasionally be available.
Fans of Nocturnal Prayer, Mgła, and Darkspace will find Abduction delivers a similarly intense, ritualistic, and uncompromising black metal experience.
