Blessthefall are an American metalcore band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 2004. Known for blending aggressive breakdowns with melodic choruses and emotionally charged songwriting, the band became a prominent name within the late-2000s Metalcore and Post-hardcore scene.
Their sound combines heavy riff-driven instrumentation, screamed vocals and clean melodic hooks, balancing technical heaviness with accessible songwriting. Over the years, Blessthefall developed a style that moved fluidly between post-hardcore intensity and polished modern metalcore, helping them maintain a strong following across both scenes.
The band first gained attention with His Last Walk (2007), which established their early blend of post-hardcore melody and metalcore aggression. Following lineup changes and a shift in vocal duties, Blessthefall continued to evolve, refining a heavier and more polished sound on releases such as Witness (2009) and Awakening (2011).
Albums including Hollow Bodies (2013) and To Those Left Behind (2015) further expanded their reputation for combining soaring choruses with breakdown-heavy songwriting and modern production. Despite stylistic changes over the years, the band retained a balance between emotional melody and aggressive heaviness that became central to their identity.
Following periods of reduced activity, Blessthefall returned with new material while continuing to perform for a dedicated fanbase that grew alongside the modern metalcore movement.
