Mother Love Bone stand as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the late 1980s and early 1990s Seattle scene, sitting between flamboyant glam rock and the raw emotional pull that would soon define grunge. Fronted by the charismatic Andrew Wood, Mother Love Bone left behind a short but lasting legacy through releases such as Apple and the Shine EP. Those recordings blended poetic lyricism with arena sized riffs, helping lay the groundwork for what would become the wider Seattle sound.
