Triptykon are a Swiss extreme metal band formed in Zürich in 2008 by vocalist and guitarist Tom G. Warrior following the dissolution of Celtic Frost. Conceived as a continuation and evolution of the darker and more experimental direction explored on Celtic Frost's Monotheist, the band quickly became one of the most acclaimed modern acts in avant-garde doom and extreme metal.
Across their career, Triptykon have earned widespread praise for combining crushing doom atmospheres, blackened extremity, gothic darkness, and emotionally intense songwriting.
