Tyketto are an American hard rock band based in New York City, formed in 1987 by former Waysted vocalist Danny Vaughn (lead vocals), Brooke St. James (guitar), Jimi Kennedy (bass), and Michael Clayton (drums). Emerging during a crowded era for melodic hard rock, Tyketto quickly distinguished themselves with strong songwriting, memorable hooks, and a clear sense of identity. Their sound balances soaring vocals, melodic guitar work, driving bass, and hard-hitting drums, making them a standout act in the late ’80s and early ’90s rock scene.
The current lineup of Tyketto features Danny Vaughn on lead vocals, acoustic guitars, harmonica, and percussion; Ged Rylands on keyboards and backing vocals; Chris Childs on bass guitar and backing vocals; Johnny Dee on drums and backing vocals; and Harry Scott Elliott on lead guitar. Together, they deliver melodic hard rock that combines emotive vocals, driving rhythm, and memorable guitar riffs with polished musicianship.
