Dreamless Veil are an American extreme metal band known for their harrowing blend of Black, Death, and Doom influences. Their music combines caustic riffs, punishing rhythms, and unnerving atmospheres to create one of the most intense and haunting releases of recent years.
Dreamless Veil formed in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic as a melodic black/death metal project. Guitarist Dan Gargiulo (Artificial Brain) started the band in response to the bleak, isolated atmosphere of the time. Vocalist Mike Paparo, known for his work with Inter Arma, and drummer David Haley, known for Psycroptic, joined shortly after, completing the line-up and shaping the project into a fully realised extreme metal ensemble.
Their debut album, Every Limb of the Flood, is a concept record described as a corrosive, caustic journey. Critically acclaimed drummer David Haley demonstrates some of his most inventive work to date, navigating breakneck tempo changes and sudden halts, while Dan Gargiulo delivers disorienting, chaotic guitar lines. Mike Paparo’s vocals add a further layer of intensity, rounding out the band’s signature sound.
