Letters Sent Home are a German alternative / post-hardcore quartet from Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, known for their emotionally potent mix of melody, big choruses, and lyrical honesty. Across three well-received EPs, they’ve made a name for themselves crafting what they call “sad, hard music” — songs with heart, depth, and a voice that won’t be ignored.
Formed in 2015 while still in school, the band consists of:
Emily Paschke – vocals
Lara Ripke – bass
Robin Werner – guitar
Louis Schramm – drums
Their early work — EPs with powerful emotional content — helped them build a dedicated fanbase in Europe. Their songs wrestle with trauma, mental health, hope, and desperation, balancing vulnerable lyrics with alt-rock dynamics. Their debut full-length Forever Undone (2024) marked a further evolution in sound — heavier, more direct, more ambitious.
