Deadguy are an American metalcore band formed in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1994. Emerging from the fertile East Coast hardcore scene, the band became one of the most influential and revered acts in the development of chaotic metalcore and what would later become known as mathcore.
Though their original lifespan was relatively brief, Deadguy left a lasting impact on heavy music through their abrasive sound, dissonant guitar work, unpredictable songwriting, and confrontational intensity. Their influence has continued to grow over the decades, with subsequent generations of hardcore and metal musicians citing them as a formative inspiration.
