M.O.D. (Method of Destruction) is an American crossover thrash band formed in 1986 in New York City by vocalist Billy Milano. Emerging from the hardcore and thrash metal scenes, M.O.D. became known for their aggressive, fast-paced sound, combining elements of thrash metal, punk, and hardcore with politically charged and satirical lyrics. Milano formed M.O.D. as a side project while he was a member of S.O.D. (Stormtroopers of Death), carrying forward the raw energy and irreverence that defined the era.
M.O.D. quickly earned a reputation for their explosive live performances and humorous yet confrontational lyrics. Their music blends thrash metal riffs, hardcore punk aggression, and socially conscious themes, making the band a key player in the crossover thrash movement of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
