Centinex are a Swedish death metal band formed in Avesta in 1990 by bassist Martin Schulman. They are one of the long-running names of the Swedish death metal scene, known for combining raw old-school brutality with groove-heavy riffs and later-era melodic darkness.
Across their career, Centinex have remained closely tied to the traditional Swedish death metal sound while evolving through different stylistic phases, from early HM-2-driven aggression to more modern, mid-paced heaviness.
