Spurv is an instrumental post-rock band from Oslo, Norway, creating expansive, emotive soundscapes that balance quiet reflection with moments of striking intensity. Founded in 2011 by Gustav Jørgen Pedersen on guitar, Herman Otterlei on guitar, and Hans‑Jakob Jeremiassen on bass, Spurv today features Gustav Jørgen Pedersen as guitar and main composer, Herman Otterlei on guitar, Hans‑Jakob Jeremiassen on bass, and Simon Ljung on drums, with live and studio contributions from Eirik Ørevik Aadland on guitar and Simen Eifring on trombone. This combination of musicians allows Spurv to explore layered guitars, intricate rhythms, and occasional brass flourishes, creating expansive instrumental narratives that shift effortlessly between reflective calm and sweeping crescendos.
